1) Athens City Guided Tour with visit to the Acropolis, the pre-eminent monument of the European Cultural Heritage:
  • 13.30’:
    Depart from the DIVANI APOLLON PALACE & SPA

  • 13.30-14.30’:
  • Short stop at the Panathinaiko Stadium, the site of the first modern Olympic games, which took place in 1896.
  • Pass by the President’s Residence (Ex Royal Palace) guarded by the colourful Evzones, and then the Zappion, the first building to be erected specifically for the revival of the Olympic Games in the modern world (now used as a Conference and Exhibition Hall).
  • Proceed to the Temple of Olympian Zeus (short stop).
  • Then continue, passing by the National Garden, Hadrian’s Arch, St. Paul’s Church, the Parliament, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Schlieman’s House (A Numismatic Museum), the Catholic Cathedral, the Academy, University and National Library, the Old Parliament, Constitution Square and the Russian Orthodox Church.

  • 14.30’-16. 30’:
  • ACROPOLIS - Guided Walking Tour. Visit the Propylae, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Parthenon and the Erechtheion.

  • 16.30’-17.30’:
  • Return to the DIVANI Hotel.


2) Athens City Guided Tour with visit to the Acropolis Museum. Explore the findings of the Acropolis:
  • 13.30’:
    Depart from the DIVANI APOLLON PALACE & SPA

  • 13.30-14.30’:

    ACROPOLIS MUSEUM: The new Acropolis Museum was designed with two objectives: the first to offer a state-of-the-art exhibition of its priceless artifacts and secondly, to be a Museum that welcomes and befriends its visitors. A memorable walk through its galleries is a walk through Greek history – between the masterpieces of the Archaic and Classical periods, but also into the ancient neighbourhoods of Athens.

  • 16.30’-17. 30’:
    Return to the DIVANI Hotel.



3) Cape Sounion Guided Tour – Visit the Greek Temple of Poseidon and experience the magical view:

  • 13.30’:
    Depart from the DIVANI APOLLON PALACE & SPA for a wonderful drive along the scenic coastal road which affords a splendid view of the Saronic Gulf, passing through some of Athens most beautiful suburbs (Glyfada, Vouliagmeni, Varkiza) to CAPE SOUNION. Here you will visit the 5th century B.C. TEMPLE of POSEIDON and experience one of the most breathtaking panoramic views in the world - a cape with a vertical drop of 70 meters, where the rocks meet the crystal clear waters of the Saronic Gulf. Afterwards, you will have the chance to relax and enjoy an optional coffee or desert in the cafeteria of the Archaeological Site.

4) Plaka & Anafiotika Guided Walking Tour. Explore the old town of Athens!

  • 13.30’:
    Depart from the DIVANI APOLLON PALACE & SPA. The first stop will be the NATIONAL ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM OF ATHENS, which, with more than 20,000 exhibits, provides a panorama of the Greek civilization from the beginnings of Prehistory to late Antiquity.

  • Strolling through the old districts of Athens can be a unique experience! A walking guided tour will give you the opportunity to visit or to take a glance of some of the most interesting monuments of the city that cannot be seen by the traditional coach tour. These include the monument of Lysicrates; the churches of St. Catherine, St. Nicolas Rangavas and the Holy Sepulchre; the old University of Athens; the Roman Market; the Tower of the Winds; the Fetihyie Mosque, the Library of Hadrian and much more.

5) Piraeus – Visit Greece’s major Port!

  • 13.30’:
    Depart from the DIVANI APOLLON PALACE & SPA. Situated on the Saronic Gulf, Piraeus is the largest passenger port in Europe and the third largest in the world, annually servicing about 20 million passengers . Piraeus is placed among the first ten ports in container traffic in Europe and the top container port in the Eastern Mediterranean. You will visit Piraeus port and the HELLENIC MARITIME MUSEUM.

  • After a drive around the city of Piraeus,there will be time to relax over a coffee in the picturesque area of Mikrolimano.

  • 17.30’
    Return to the DIVANI Hotel.
